Valley of Ten Peaks
First light on a calm morning at Moraine Lake

Moraine Lake is one of the most recognizable and photographed locations in Canada. Nestled in the spectacular Valley of the Ten Peaks, its turquoise waters and jagged mountain backdrop make it one of the most iconic scenes in Banff National Park. I arrived before sunrise on a crisp, clear morning. As the breeze faded, the lake reflected the surrounding peaks perfectly as I watched the first light illuminate the valley, transforming the landscape.
