How did you get started as a photographer?
My first photos were taken on plastic Kodak film cameras loaded with 24 shot rolls. Some years later I picked up a digital camera with a fixed lens and 5 megapixel sensor - an incredibly high resolution at the time. It wasn’t until 2016 that I decided to turn my photography into something more than a hobby, getting my first Nikon DSLR. I eventually upgraded to full-frame, and have been working on perfecting the craft every step of the way since.
What is your favourite place to travel?
Anywhere with a wide expanse of nature to be explored, especially mountains. My recent favourites are Iceland and the Canadian Rocky Mountains.
What camera gear do you use?
My gear list is minimal to avoid redundancy and simplify travel, while ensuring I have my bases covered for any job:
- Nikon D780
- Nikon D750 (backup body)
- Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8
- Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8
- Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8
- Various filters including polarizers and ND
- Manfrotto Befree tripod
- Peak Design Everyday Backpack

How do you process your images?
My goal is to create images that convey the ambience and intricacies of the unique places in which they are taken, offering a compelling and authentic representation of the photographed scene. I use Lightroom and Photoshop for any post processing needed to achieve this, paying attention to detail and keeping enhancements to a minimum.
