How did you get into photography?
I started taking photos on film at about 12 years old, taking up a digital camera several years later. I got my first Nikon DSLR in 2015 and have been doing this professionally, on a part-time basis, for about 3 years.
What camera gear do you use?
I shoot with the Nikon D780 paired with either a Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8 or Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 lens. I use a selection of filters (neutral density, circular polarizer) for my landscape work, a flash and reflectors for my portrait work, and a Manfrotto tripod when required. I carry all this in a 30L Peak Design backpack.
What is your favourite place to visit?
I love exploring my home province of Ontario. Outside of Canada, my favourite places are Kiev, Ukraine, where I spent a decent part of my childhood, and Iceland - a truly unique spot like no other on Earth.
